This project delves into the nuanced realm of digital identity within virtual and online spaces. Recognizing the inherent human desire to both mask and express one's identity, we observed the common practice where individuals mask their real-life identities with unique usernames and avatars in platforms like online games and social media. This duality has birthed a lucrative industry; usernames are sometimes auctioned for significant amounts, while game developers monetize through the sale of skins, offering no tangible gameplay advantage but a distinctive appearance.
To cater to this audience's thirst for uniqueness, we've leveraged the potential of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), translating the essence of individualism into digital wearables. Our exploration not only encompasses the current digital landscape but also ventures into speculative design, imagining a future where augmented reality (AR) seamlessly blends with our daily lives, further challenging and redefining how we express or conceal our identities.
